Bostantjopoulou Sevasti

Emeritus Professor of Neurology

Professor Emeritus of Neurology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She was elected Professor of Neurology in/2010. She was Head of the 3rd University Department of Neurology from 2013 to 2018.

Diversity of Experiences

Medical degree (1976) and PhD (1982) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Medical School) Greece. After completing her training in Neurology she undertook a fellowship for Movement Disorders at the Center for Parkinson’s Disease and other Movement Disorders in Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York, USA. Professor Emeritus of Neurology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She was elected Professor of Neurology in/2010. She was Head of the 3rd University Department of Neurology from 2013 to 2018.

Her main fields of interest are Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders. She was Chief of the Outpatient Unit for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders of the 3rd University Department of Neurology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 1990 to 2018. Prof. Bostantjopoulou was elected Delegate for the Movement Disorders Section of the Hellenic Neurological Society from 2009 till today and was nominated by the Hellenic Neurological Society as the Greek Delegate for EFNS and EAN panel on Parkinson disease and Movement Disorders from 2003 till today.

Her clinical and research activities include involvement in many clinical studies and research projects, participation as invited speaker in national and international congresses and significant number of scientific articles in national and international peerreviewed journals.

She is the author/co-author of 115 papers in peer-reviewed International Journals and 78 papers in Greek Scientific Journals. She participated in 177 International and 257 Greek conferences with oral or poster presentations. She participated in two Horizon 2020 EU Research and Innovation programs: a) MAMEM. Multimedia Authoring and Management using your Eyes and Mind, project code: H2020 ICT-2014-644780 and b)iPROGNOSIS, H2020 Grant No: 690494.
